Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

Neonatal nurse practitioners (NNP) are found throughout America in neonatal intensive care units (NICU). They care for critically ill newborns and infants and function much like a neonatologist. A Neonatal nurse practitioner has the authority to prescribe medicine, give orders, and care for children without consulting a physician. However, they do work directly under a neonatologist.

If you are on this page you are either considering becoming a neonatal nurse practitioner or you need one for your hospital. In either case, you’ve come to the right place. If you have any questions about your career path, click on the green box at the top to contact us. We give advice freely and would love to speak with you. We work with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurse anesthetists (CRNA’s), and many other healthcare providers to help connect them with the job opportunity that is right for them.

If you have come here to find a neonatal nurse practitioner, we’d like to help you find the right one for your practice. Given that the hiring demand for physician assistants and nurse practitioners increased by over 500% from 2006 to 2010, finding the right practitioner is becoming more and more difficult. We consult with our clients and work under their direction to help them find the right fit for their practice and hospital. If you’d like to see what we can do for you, click on the green box at the top of the page to get started. We look forward to hearing from you!
